Polycarbonate is an impact resistant material that comes with UV protection and a scratch resistant coating. This is a good choice for kids and anyone who particpates in sports. They are thinner and lighter than regular plastic lenses, and are up to 10 times more impact-resistant than plastic or glass lenses.

Hi Index plastic lenses are a thin and lightweight material that are for patients who have a stronger prescription who would otherwise end up with a thicker lens.

Photochromatic lenses transition from clear to tinted when exposed to sunlight. These darken less in a car because windshields typically block UV rays from the sun.

Anti-reflective coatings eliminate glare and reflections. This reduces fatigue from daily computer use and nighttime driving.
